The Energy Institute (EI) has published EI 1587 – Recommended Practice for Single-Element Filtration in Aviation Fuel Systems. This document serves as an important reference for ensuring clean and dry aviation fuel supply, particularly in remote locations or in environments with complex logistical conditions.
In line with these guidelines, FAUDI Aviation’s Vertical Filter Housing (VFH) offers several single-element filtration options, including Coalescer/Separator elements, and Dirt Defence Filters. Designed for high operational efficiency and easy maintenance, the VFH is compatible with various fuels such as Jet Fuel, AVGAS, and MoGas. Its design enables quick and simple element replacement, making it well suited for flexible operating conditions and a widely adopted single-element filtration solution for decades.
To support continuous water monitoring, the system can be equipped with the SLUGGUARD® electronic water sensor, which detects the presence of accumulated water in drain points or at the bottom of any filter/water separator. This high-precision sensor is particularly suitable for compact filter housings such as the VFH, commonly used in civil aviation applications and Fixed Base Operator (FBO) facilities.
Together, these technologies form a robust solution that meets EI 1587 filtration and safety standards, helping ensure fuel quality across a wide range of operational environments.
